'City The Animation' Announces Additional Cast, Staff, Summer 2025 Premiere

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Keiichi Arawi's City manga revealed additional cast, staff, and a key visual (pictured) on Friday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2025.

Riko Izumi: Yuu Wakui (Otonari ni Ginga)

Character Design, Chief Animation Director: Tamami Tokuyama (Hibike! Euphonium 3 animation director)
Art Director: Shiori Yamazaki (Violet Evergarden Movie background art)
Color Design: Kana Miyata (Kyoukai no Kanata)
Director of Photography: Kouki Ueda (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S)
3D Director: Tatsunori Kase (Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudou-bu 3DCG)
Sound Director: Youta Tsuruoka (Bakemonogatari)

Taichi Ishidate (Violet Evergarden) is directing the television anime at Kyoto Animation.

Arawi, best known for Nichijou, began drawing the slice of life comedy manga in Morning weekly magazine in September 2016. Following a four and a half-year-run, Arawi concluded the manga in February 2021. Kodansha published the 13th and final volume in April that year.

Vertical licensed the manga in English in July 2017 and released all 13 volumes between March 2018 and January 2022.

The fact that this still has 7k members and certain other degenerate anime have 103,085+ ptw members makes me really sad not even slightly angry. How things have changed for the worse..... Anyway, I think we can all agree that the production is perfect for this anime and that we shouldn't worry about anything.
