Light Novel 'Majutsushi Kunon wa Mieteiru' Gets TV Anime

Publishing company Kadokawa announced a television anime adaptation of Umikaze Minamino's Majutsushi Kunon wa Mieteiru (Kunon the Sorcerer Can See) light novel on Friday.

Minamino began penning the action fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in August 2021. Kadokawa began publishing the series under its Kadokawa Books imprint in March 2022, featuring illustrations by Laruha. The sixth volume went on sale last August, with the seventh volume planned for a March 10 release.
La-na began serializing a manga adaptation in Monthly Comic Alive in April 2022. The fifth volume shipped in November 2024.
Yen Press licensed the light novel in English in February 2023 and released the third volume last June. The fourth volume is scheduled to be released on April 15.

I know I'm late to hear this news, but let me give some non spoiler context:
1. The MC have 2 teacher, the skill of the first teacher he surpassed can only teach up to middle school level (my opinion). The MC father only allowed her to teach him basic non-offensive magic, thus why he surpassed her rather quick. The second teacher are around university level (my opinion), and the MC never surpassed him.
2. The main charm point about this series is not power fantasy because there are no fight scene and the demon lord already long dead, it's about how the MC use and improve his non offensive water magic to overcome his blindness.
3. Now, you might be confused by me keep saying "non offensive", yeah~ because the MC father banned him to learn and use any offensive magic and the MC still follow this rule. Because the MC is banned from learning and using any offensive magic, he only use water element which he's good at and specialized in research. This is also why the MC will never surpass other great mage in power alone.
4. About the blindness, this main point are never forgotten and always present. He only able to make the temporary eye after a few years of learning and testing which I don't think the anime staff can skip even if they want to, so at earliest it would be episode 5 and might even only appear at episode 11/12 if they go super slow. This temporary eye itself cause information overload and can see something he think he shouldn't be able to see, so he rarely use it.
Then, how is his life before this temporary eye exist? After his first teacher teach him basic water ball spell, he spread water moisture he controlled around him to act as radar or sonar. Kinda like how daredevil sense his surrounding, but with water moisture.

But then I read "already surpassed his teacher, and continues to grow his talents," and now I'm wondering if they'll forget about the blindness real quick and take him through the usual power fantasy...

Tbh, I skipped a lot of context, so do expect some misunderstanding when the anime airs and you still remember some part I write here.
The real killer for me would be the pacing, I don't mind bad animation because the manga might raise the bar a bit too high for the animation to keep up. But if they messed up the pacing, oh boy~ I don't want to imagine the clusterfuck disaster if the anime staff are stupid enough to make him get that temporary eye before episode 3. At that point, I might just watch the last few episodes just to know what I should expect for the next arc because they might overshoot the manga.
