Second Season of '2.5-jigen no Ririsa' Announced

The 24th and final episode of the 2.5-jigen no Ririsa (2.5 Dimensional Seduction) television anime revealed on Friday that a second season is in production. The official website also revealed a visual to commemorate the announcement (pictured above).

The anime adapts Yuu Hashimoto's comedy ecchi manga, which began on the Shounen Jump+ website in June 2019. Shueisha shipped the 21th volume on October 4 and will release the 22nd on January 4.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English with its Ghost Ship imprint in June 2021. The 12th volume went on sale on November 19, and the 13th volume is scheduled to be released on February 4.

J.C.Staff produced the 24-episode first season which began in Summer 2024. HIDIVE is streaming the anime with subtitles.

Synopsis
After a disastrous romantic confession, Masamune Okumura finds solace in the fictional world of anime and manga. Now a second-year high school student and the president of the Manga Research Club, Masamune spends a peaceful existence watching the adventures of the angel Liliel, his favorite character.

In the beginning of the academic year, Masamune’s life is turned upside down when he meets first-year student Ririsa Amano, a passionate cosplay practitioner. Despite Masamune's initial reluctance, the determined young woman manages to convince him to become her personal photographer for the production of a collection dedicated to their common favorite character: Liliel.

As Masamune enthusiastically discovers the world of cosplay and photo editing, he is unexpectedly reunited with his childhood friend Mikari Tachibana, who has become a model in the hope of impressing her beloved upperclassman. Realizing that modeling is not enough to intrigue the hopeless otaku, Mikari decides to join the club and become a cosplayer herself, all to finally have a chance at winning Masamune's heart. @RobertBobert Probably 48? I guess by the time they ended S1, they just started producing this one...

They do have material to do, if keeping the S1 pacing, even a S3, all 3 with 2 cours. And as the manga is still ongoing, bi-weekly, they might end with enough for S4 in a few years

The anime itself is an odd one although I heard its quite popular. Or so I think

A bit surprised perhaps and also not really

I have mixed opinions on S1 so right now im really not sure if im gonna watch s2
