The official website for the television anime adaptation of Ibarakino's Fuguushoku "Kanteishi" ga Jitsu wa Saikyou Datta: Naraku de Kitaeta Saikyou no "Shingan" de Musou suru (The Unfavorable Job "Appraiser" Is Actually the Strongest) light novel revealed on Tuesday the main staff, additional cast, key visual (pictured), and a promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere on January 9 on Tokyo MX, BS11, and ABEMA.

Ibarakino began penning the fantasy adventure novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in December 2019. Kodansha acquired the novel and published the first volume under its light novel imprint in October 2020, featuring illustrations by Yuu Hitaki. The third volume was released on July 2.

Morohoshi Fuji began drawing a manga adaptation in Magazine pocket in July 2020. The 12th volume went on sale on July 9, while the 13th volume is scheduled for November 8.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga adaptation for digital release in English in September 2021. The 11th volume went on sale on September 3.

Can't say that the director for this inspires confidence . I mean... he directed Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included which I liked but the story above is not a simple romance story but an action story with plenty of cool fights. But I will remain confident since the studio that will animate this also animated Tomodachi Game which was well received . I love this story and characters so I will hope for the best
