'Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!' Reveals Production Staff, Teaser Promo, 2025 Debut

The official website of the Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!! (Go For It, Nakamura!) television anime unveiled the production staff, a key visual (pictured), and teaser promotional video on Friday. The anime series adapting Syundei's school boys love manga will air in 2025.

Syundei drew the boys love manga in Opera magazine from December 2014 to August 2016. The Motto Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!! (Go for It Again, Nakamura!) sequel began in the same magazine in June 2017. Akane Shinsha published the original manga and the sequel in May 2017 and August 2021, and released a new edition of each on August 16.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both manga in English in 2017 and 2021. The first volume was released in July 2018, followed by the second volume in July 2022.

@RobertBobert its mostly Nakamura who is the main gay guy, there is no much focus on other characters or their love life so i would say its closer to a conventionally realistic setting.

Question for the experts. Is this a complete BL anime, where all the male characters are gay, or like Bloom into you, where a gay pairing is placed in a conventionally realistic setting?

I have read both prequel and sequel, it was very fun to observe Nakamura and his attempts for reaching Hirose. Also manga soon will resume publishing.

I'm just throwing this out there based solely on the fact that they were behind the recent Urusei Yatsura reboot and managed to make it look like a really nice, colourful mix of '80's and modern-day visuals, and Ganbare, Nakamura-kun has an artstyle reminiscent of '80's manga :)

I said this almost exactly a year ago, and while it's not the same studio, the art direction looks completely like what I envisioned for a Nakamura-kun anime!!!! I love how they stayed true to Syundei's art style and character design from the manga!!! I love it so much just from the teaser, so I know I'm going to be very satisfied when the real thing comes out =D
