The official website for the television anime adaptation of Hiromasa Okujima's Babanbabanban Vampire manga revealed a supporting cast pair, key visual (pictured), and a promotional video on Thursday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on TV Asahi's new IMAnimation timeslot in 24 stations in January 2025.

Mayuko Kazama (Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete) and Taku Yashiro (Undead Girl Murder Farce) are joining the cast as Aoi Shinozuka and Ken Shinozuka (Franken), respectively.

Itsurou Kawasaki (Kumichou Musume to Sewagakari) is directing and penning the script at Gaina. Yukiko Ban (Ojou to Banken-kun) is designing the characters and Jun Ichikawa (Julydex) (Mikakunin de Shinkoukei) is composing the music.

Okujima began serializing the supernatural comedy manga in Bessatsu Shounen Champion magazine in October 2021. Akita Shoten released the seventh volume on March 15 and will ship the eighth volume on October 16.

@Memore Ah, so the story is actually good? Hmm... Still, I wasn't impressed by the trailer. I know one shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but dunno, I think I will pass on it. But I'm glad you liked the trailer. I hope you're gonna enjoy watching this show as well. :)

I don't get it, where's the BL part? So based on the description I take it that gay vampire dude constantly tries to sabotage straight boy's relationship with his female love interest till he gives up on her and goes gay for him? I really hate when they convert straight guys to gay. Also the vampire dude looks ugly.

Also I imagine all those fujoshis who accuse me of liking pedophilia because I liked 15 (later 16) year old MC with 100 year old demon would gobble this up without any issues despite the so called age-gap.

This anime's trailer looks... Hmm, mediocre. Maybe the show will be good, but the trailer did not convince me to give it a try.

Btw. what's with that trend of imitating stuttering by repeating certain fragments of text in titles? Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction, Dandadan, now Babanbabanban Vampire. It reminds me of how isekai LNs have also specific titles; though in their case the word "specific" refers to their length, I mean.
