'"Oshi no Ko"' Third Season in Production

The 13th and final episode of "Oshi no Ko" 2nd Season ([Oshi No Ko] Season 2) ended with an announcement on Sunday that a third season is in production. The official website also revealed an announcement visual (pictured) and promo.

Voice actors Mamoru Miyano (Pluto, Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yuukaku-hen) and Hina Kino (Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!, Hataraku Maou-sama!!) are joining the cast as Hikaru Kamiki and Tsukuyomi, respectively.

Produced by Doga Kobo, the second season adapting Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari's showbizd drama manga began airing on July 3. HIDIVE streamed the anime with subtitles and an English dub.

The 11-episode first season premiered with a 90-minute first episode in Japanese theaters last March. Regular broadcasting began the following month.

Akasaka and Yokoyari began serializing the manga in Young Jump magazine in April 2020. Shueisha published the 15th volume on July 18. "Oshi no Ko" has a cumulative 18 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

Shueisha began publishing the manga in English on its Manga Plus platform in April 2022. Yen Press licensed the manga in English in July 2022 and released the seventh volume on August 20. The eighth volume is planned for a November 19 release.

You can see the change in tune from season 2 to season 3. In season 1, both twins were equally the star of the show. In season 2, Aqua was the star of the show. Now in season 3, it seems like Ruby is the star of the show. Move out of the way Aqua, it's time for your twin sister to be the star of the show!

I hope that at least this time Aka gets a full adaptation. I heard that the Kaguya adaptation stopped at the movie due to some problems. On the other hand, did Oshi no Ko turn out to be so much more popular than Love is War?
