Manga 'Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome' Gets TV Anime in 2025

Production company Kadokawa opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Noriaki Kotoba's Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome (The Barbarian's Bride) manga on Friday, revealing a teaser visual (pictured) and teaser promo. The anime series is planned for a 2025 airing.

Kotoba originally began posting the comedy fantasy manga on his Pixiv account in January 2019. Bessatsu Shounen Magazine began serializing the manga in January 2021. Kodansha published the seventh volume on February 8, with the eighth volume scheduled for an October 8 release.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English this May and released the first volume on October 15. The second volume is set to be released on January 14, 2025. Kodansha K Manga service also simulpublishes the manga in English.

Synopsis
"Just kill me!" These are the words of Serafina de Lavillant, the strongest female knight in the West. After being defeated in a war with the East, she has become a prisoner of the barbarians! What awaits the captive Serafina is a life of revenge, torture, and humiliation... or so she thought! What she is offered instead is a marriage to the barbarian king?! I hope this series gets a good studio it's got a good artstyle, creative world building and good characters it also unfortunately has a lot of graphic nudity so it's likely to be censored to hell
