Second Season of 'Bye Bye, Earth' Announced for 2025
The tenth and final episode of the Bye Bye, Earth anime series announced a second season following its broadcast on Saturday, scheduled to premiere in 2025.
Yasuto Nishikata (Killing Bites) is returning to helm the second season at LIDENFILMS. Hiroyuki Yoshino (World Trigger) is handling the series composition and Yuuki Hino (Tokyo Revengers: Seiya Kessen Hen key animation) is designing the characters. Kevin Penkin (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari) is composing the music.
The anime adapts Tow Ubukata's fantasy adventure novel, which was published in two volumes by Kadokawa in December 2000, featuring illustrations by Yoshitaka Amano (Vampire Hunter D). Ubukata published a four-volume edition through Kadokawa Bunko between September 2007 and February 2008, with illustrations by Kim Hyung-tae (Blade & Soul).
A manga adaptation by Ryuu Asahi ran in Young King OURs magazine from January 2020 to July 2022. Shonen Gahousha released the fourth and final volume in September 2022.
Synopsis
In a world of anthropomorphic animals, Belle Lablac was born as the only human being. Having no fangs, fur, or scales, she was called "Faceless," and she lived a lonely life with no one else she could identify with. "I want to be part of the world..." With such longing in her heart, she decides to set out on a journey to find her roots, carrying the Runding, a great sword as tall as she is.
