An official website opened for a television anime adaptation of Akamaru Enomoto's Kono Kaisha ni Suki na Hito ga Imasu (I Have a Crush at Work) manga on Tuesday, revealing a teaser visual (pictured).

Enomoto serialized the romance comedy manga in Morning from March 2019 to January 2023. Kodansha published it in 15 volumes between July 2019 and March 2023. The manga has a cumulative 1.1 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in February 2023. The fifth volume is set to go on sale on August 13.

Synopsis
Yui Mitsuya and Masugu Tateishi aren't just any coworkers—they totally have the hots for each other. His helpful yet humble attitude makes her giddy, and her cuteness leaves him grinning like a fool. Problem is, they're trying to keep their new relationship under wraps to avoid making things awkward at work. But seeing how they can't keep their hands off each other, they run the risk of spilling their little secret with each passing day at the office. (Source: Kodansha USA)

Got anime before manga getting fully translated.

This promotional image is so bad I couldn't even recognize the main characters despite reading the manga. The manga is pretty decent but anime will probably be just another really cheaply and badly made slot filler, so not sure I'll even bother checking the pilot.

Oh heck yeah. This sounds like a winner. I love romantic comedies set in an office.

Wow. Been reading the manga for a few years already and didn't expect it to get an adaptation since it's not that popular. Hoping a decent studio would work on this.

Most of the office romances look and feel same. But yeah, will watch this anyway.

Another anime about office love. Stupid boy and shy girl. Hopefully it will be good, something innovative unlike previous old series.

@yamiyugi101 Haha. No worries there, I'd be shocked if it was handled any other way (can you imagine?). I just thought some of the covers looked interesting because they certainly implied some heavy deeds (at least compared to most romances). I love this wholesome romance decade that we are in now, as long as there is blushing and cute moments, sign me up :)

@iwubanime Nothing too crazy happens it's more or less a wholesome slice of life series where the main couple are very comfortable with each others company and yes they do bang like rabbits on their days off it's all off screen though

@CocoaGalaxy it has some moments depicting work frustration but otherwise it's very wholesome series about a couple who are very comfortable around each other

Can I get excited? The office genre has just been ok for me as well but I do love well done romances and this one looks like a lot of fun. Took a little peek at the volume covers and there's some cute moments there. The first couple covers leave the impression it will be very steamy early on (literal can't keep their hands off each other), with it becoming more normal after some time and then evolving into something deeper. Can't wait!

more romcoms with no harem/love triangle are always welcome
i hope the female lead is cute enough to root for

The demographic of the source states seinen while the art and designs look shoujo. Seems interesting.

I hope we get a full adaptation. At least through sequels or OVAs. Also, it looks like the producers are again testing the waters for adaptations of trends that are poorly represented in anime and manga.

Kinda curious actually. I'm not super into the whole office romance genre

Also the manga is finished already? And it finished in 2023 and its getting an anime now? Huh
