'Raise wa Tanin ga Ii' Unveils Main Cast, Staff, Fall 2024 Premiere

An official website opened for the television anime adaptation of Asuka Konishi's Raise wa Tanin ga Ii (Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii) manga on Friday, revealing the main cast, staff, and a key visual (pictured). The anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2024.

Hitomi Ueda (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari) and Akira Ishida (Gintama) are starring as Yoshino Somei and Kirishima Miyama, respectively.

Konishi began serializing the crime romance manga in Afternoon magazine in August 2017. Kodansha shipped the eighth volume in October 2023.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in February 2022. The seventh volume was released on April 2, with the fifth volume scheduled to go on sale on September 3.

The male lead is voiced by Ishida Akira so I'm gonna watch it as soon as it comes out. But some people outside of this thread says he's a cheater?

@ZXEAN True everything ENGI touches comes out as dumpster-fire (This season successfully ruined Unnamed Memory), And JC Staff was actually good back in the day but, Their main problem is taking too many projects, they already have 3-4 anime for this summer season. I also do not like Tezuka Production, but they are at least doing ok With The Fable.

@SukiAni27 Tezuka Production, ENGI and JC Staff. I have zero faith in this three studio. Over a past couple of year this three studio have ruined lots of high profile project.

It will be interesting to watch the anime to refresh my memories of the manga. I hardly remember it anymore, so it surprises me a little that people talked about later development.

I was expecting a better studio for this anime. Studio Deen isn't bad either recently they have produced some well animated series so let's wait for the trailer. I have a positive feeling for this anime, Studio Deen will deliver (Hopefully).
