Light Novel 'Izure Saikyou no Renkinjutsushi?' Gets TV Anime in Winter 2025

Publishing company AlphaPolis opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Maru Kogitsune's Izure Saikyou no Renkinjutsushi? (Someday Will I Be the Greatest Alchemist?) light novel on Thursday. The website also revealed the main staff, cast, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2025.

Kogitsune began penning the adventure fantasy novel on the AlphaPolis website in August 2017. AlphaPolis shipped the first volume with illustrations by Hitogome in February 2022 and released the 15th volume in October 2023.

Tarou Sasakama began drawing a manga adaptation on the AlphaPolis website in August 2018. The sixth volume went on sale in July 2023.

AlphaPolis is releasing the manga digitally in English on its Alpha Manga website and app and released the first digital volume in March 2023. The sixth volume went on sale on April 26.

Synopsis
Not even a hero, Takumi Iruma gets accidentally mixed in with a group of heroes chosen to be summoned to another world. As compensation for the mix-up, a goddess offers him the right to choose any skill he wishes for! Hoping for a peaceful and quiet life that has nothing to do with fighting or going into battle, he chooses a seemingly boring creation skill. However, it turns out "alchemy" is the most powerful skill that allows him to create everything from a holy sword to flying ships! This cheat skill he unexpectedly acquired turns him into a wealthy merchant and makes him undefeatable in battles!
