MAPPA Produces 'Zenshu.' Original TV Anime

Production company Bushiroad opened an official website for an original television anime series titled Zenshu. on Friday. The website revealed the production staff, main cast, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video.

Synopsis
After graduating from high school, Natsuko Hirose starts her career as an animator. Her talent quickly flourishes, and she makes her debut as a director in no time. Her first anime becomes a massive hit, sparking a social phenomenon and earning her recognition as an up-and-coming genius director. Her next project is set to be a romantic comedy movie themed around first love! However, having never been in love herself, Natsuko struggles to understand the concept of first love, and as a result, she's unable to create the storyboard, causing the movie production to come to a standstill. So the studio this girl would be working for is Mappa?

I mean seeing her well being, that's the most educated guess lol.

A part of me wishes that its a darker, grittier, more grounded version of Shirobako... but knowing that its being made by Mappa, the higher ups at the company are unlikely to allow such a project to be greenlight in the first place.

And I've a bad feeling that the "anime production" aspect will be as relevant to the show as "gaming" was in Gamers!.

A cynical way of looking at this is that MAPPA is trying to sanitize and romanticize the hellish anime production culture into a beautiful, feel-good story about human beings discovering the joy in life while making anime. Of course both of those things co-exist in the anime industry, but it's rich coming from a studio who caught so much flak grinding animators to dust in the past few years, isn't it?

Ahhh I see... I got confused because Tondemo Skill didn't have dugout mentioned as a producer and it is also a solo-funded MAPPA production. Or is there something else with that show?

we always tag sound production studios on anime pages, so dugout will stay there. Its nothing new.

Bushiroad tho depends on them, they are only helping to promote the anime so I kinda agree on this one but I don't mind either way.

Also, one more correction...

Bushiroad and dugout are not Producers of this anime. This is also another solo-funded project like 'Chainsaw Man' and 'Tondemo Skill'.

Hopefully, the MODS change the producer's tags on this show to None.

Out of context, premise sounds like a typical shoujo manga plot, but in context, ship bait kings are making an original anime about an animator who doesn't understand the idea of heterosexual (judging by the trailer) love? This is the most meta-ironic anime I've seen since Dogo Koba animated LN about a heroine obsessed with cute girls.
