Manga 'Neko ni Tensei shita Ojisan' Receives TV Anime in Fall 2024
The Fuji TV Anime Lineup Presentation event announced on Monday a television anime adaptation of Yajima's Neko ni Tensei shita Ojisan (The Old Man Who Was Reincarnated as a Cat) manga, revealing the main staff, a teaser promo, and a teaser visual (pictured). The anime is set to premiere in October 2024 on Fuji TV's Pokapoka television program.Rio (Barakamon chief animation director) and Takahiro Kawakoshi (Golden Kamuy assistant director) are directing the anime at Studio Eight Color.
Yajima began drawing the comedy manga on their X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts in February 2023. Kadokawa began serializing the manga on its ComicWalker service in October 2023 and released the first volume the following December. Neko ni Tensei shita Ojisan placed second in the Next Manga Awards 2023 in the Web Manga category.
