'Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru' Unveils Additional Cast, Staff, Theme Songs, First Promo

The official website of the Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru television anime revealed additional cast, staff, second key visual (pictured), theme songs and the first promotional video on Friday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on April 7 at 11:30 p.m. on AT-X, followed by Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, BS11, and Aomori Broadcasting.

Singer-songwriter Koresawa is performing the opening theme "Kimi ga Ojiichan Atashi ga Obaachan." Shinichiro Miki and Mamiko Noto will perform the ending theme "Soitoge YO-YO!!" as their respective characters. Both theme songs are previewed in the promotional video below.

Masayoshi Nishita (Allison to Lillia) is helming the anime at Gekkou. Yukie Sugawara (Sentouin, Hakenshimasu!) is handling the series composition and Nagisa Takahashi (Mahoutsukai Reimeiki chief animation director) is designing the characters. Tomoki Hasegawa (Nazo no Kanojo X) is composing the music.

The anime adapts Kagiri Araido's romantic comedy manga, which they originally launched on their official Twitter and pixiv accounts in October 2019 before beginning serialization in Comic Alunna in July 2022. Kadokawa published the seventh volume on August 16.
