P.A. Works Produces 'Mayonaka Punch' Original TV Anime for Summer 2024

Publishing company Kadokawa opened an official website for an original television anime titled Mayonaka Punch by P.A. Works on Friday, revealing the main staff, an announcement promo, and a teaser visual (pictured). The original anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2024.

Mayonaka Punch is a comedy story about the activities of two "NewTubers" who are active on the world's largest video posting site, NewTube. The original anime is receiving a manga adaptation by Tomomi Usui in the April 2024 issue of Young Ace magazine on March 4. A novel adaptation is also in the planning.

I do like watching P.A Works original series and looking at the video, this could be a rather fun and quirky series to watch this summer. I'll definitely check it out.

I might express surprise that PAWORKS is going to release two all-female anime this year, but at least this show actually looks like an intriguing original show. It seems like it's going to play into the social media theme in some way, but I'm already feeling the vibes of a quirky sci-fi show from the '10s.
