Voice Actors Yuuma Uchida, Rina Hidaka Announce Marriage

Voice actors Yuuma Uchida and Rina Hidaka announced their marriage on Monday.

"Today, I have an announcement for everyone who has been supporting me. I, Rina Hidaka, have married Mr. Yuuma Uchida," Hidaka posted on X (formerly Twitter). "I receive a lot of smiles and energy from seeing his bright and positive self, taking on many challenges and having fun in everything he does. I have been supported by many people and blessed with wonderful works and characters. I will continue to cherish each and every connection and work hard as a voice actress, so please continue to support me."

"I, Yuuma Uchida, have married Ms. Rina Hidaka," Uchida posted on his agency website. "Ms. Hidaka is a person whom I respect for their bright and positive attitude, and their sincere dedication to work. We both hope to move forward together while supporting each other in the future, so I would be happy if everyone could warmly watch over us."

Yuuma Uchida, younger brother of Maaya Uchida, debuted as a voice actor as Knight from Church in the Holy Knight original video anime in 2012. He voiced his first lead character as Yuuma Kousaka in Gundam Build Fighters Try in 2014. In May 2018, he debuted as a solo musician under the King Records label.

Notable roles by Uchida include Kyou Souma from Fruits Basket 1st Season, Aslan Jade Callenreese in Banana Fish, Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, and Iori Kitahara in Grand Blue (Grand Blue Dreaming).

Hidaka landed her first role in the industry as Kaede Nankyoku in Penguin Musume♥Heart in 2008. She voiced her first major role as Last Order in Toaru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magical Index) in October that year.

Hidaka's other notable roles include Milim Nava in Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime), Misuzu Gundou in Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko! (Tomo-chan Is a Girl!), Filo in Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari (The Rising of the Shield Hero), and Keiko Ayano in Sword Art Online.

@MegamiRem It seems that now the running gag with her brocon will only intensify. At the very least, the fan imagination only enhanced Inorin x Matsuoka or even Inorin x Oonishi when the latter seriously or semi-seriously confessed to crushing the Harem King.

Quite unusual, considering that Uchida is currently at the peak as one of the most popular male VAs and you might be afraid that the wedding announcement could cause a lot of noise among fangirls and producers.
