'Majo to Yajuu' Unveils Additional Cast, Theme Songs, First Promo

The official website of the Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast) television anime unveiled additional cast members, theme songs, the first promo, and a second key visual (pictured) on Monday. The anime series is scheduled to premiere on January 12 at 1:28 a.m. on TBS, followed by BS11, TBS Channel 1, and RKK.

Cast
Helga Velvette: Miyu Tomita (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!)
The Demon Sword Ashgan: Rintarou Nishi (Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen)
Matt Cugat: Akira Ishida (Helck)
The Executioners: Kazuhiro Yamaji (Dead Mount Death Play)
Farmus: Kousei Hirota (Chainsaw Man)
Lowell: Yuu Kobayashi (Shingeki no Kyojin)

Rock band sokoninaru is performing the opening theme "Soumonka," which is previewed in the promotional video below. Yoshino Nanjou (Boukensha ni Naritai to Miyako ni Deteitta Musume ga S-Rank ni Natteta) will perform the ending theme "Hikari no Trill."

Takayuki Hamana (Majutsushi Orphen Hagure Tabi) is directing the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab. Yuuichirou Momose (Hoshi no Samidare) is handling the series composition, and Hiroya Iijima (Jikan no Shihaisha) is designing the characters. Hanae Nakamura (Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita) and Natsumi Tabuchi (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta...) are composing the music.

The anime adapts Kousuke Satake's fantasy manga, which started serialization on Kodansha's Young Magazine the 3rd in November 2016. The tenth volume shipped on August 19 last year.

Kodansha USA announced in October 2019 that they licensed the manga for English publication. The tenth volume went on sale on February 28.
