'Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha' Reveals Additional Staff, Second Promo

The official website of the Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha (The Unwanted Undead Adventurer) television anime revealed additional staff, the key visual (pictured), and a second promotional video on Saturday. The anime is scheduled to air on January 8 at 9:00 p.m. on AT-X, followed by Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS NTV. Netflix and d Anime Store will stream the anime starting January 5 at 10:00 p.m.

JUVENILE is performing the opening theme "IMMORTAL." Mao Abe (Ningen Fushin no Boukensha-tachi ga Sekai wo Sukuu you desu) is performing the ending theme "Keep Your Fire Burning," which is previewed in the promotional video below.

Noriaki Akitaya (Shikkakumon no Saikyou Kenja) is directing the anime at Connect. Yukie Sugawara (Overlord) is in charge of the series composition, and Takao Sano (Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei) is designing the characters.

The anime adapts Yuu Okano's adventure fantasy light novel, which began on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in September 2016. Overlap began printing the novel with illustrations by Jaian in October 2017. The 12th volume shipped on May 25, while the 13th volume is scheduled to be released on December 25. Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha has a cumulative 2 million copies of its light novel and manga volumes in circulation.

Haiji Nakasone began drawing a manga adaptation on the Comic Gardo website in November 2017. Overlap released the 11th volume on May 25, and the 12th volume is scheduled for a December 25 release.

J-Novel Club licensed both the light novel and manga for digital release in English in February 2018 and April 2019, respectively. The 11th light novel volume went on sale on June 24, with the 12th volume scheduled for a January 12 release. The tenth manga volume was released on November 29.
