'Saijaku Tamer wa Gomi Hiroi no Tabi wo Hajimemashita.' Reveals Additional Cast, Staff, Second Promo

The official website of the television anime adapting Honobonoru500's Saijaku Tamer wa Gomi Hiroi no Tabi wo Hajimemashita. (The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash) light novel unveiled additional cast, staff, and a second promotional video. The anime series is set to premiere on January 12 at 11:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX and BS Asahi, followed by ABC TV.

Naoki Horiuchi (Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenkig episode director) is directing the television anime at Studio Massket, with chief director Shigeyasu Yamauchi (Dragon Ball Z). Katsuhiko Takayama (Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru) is handling the series composition. Feng Cheng Hu (Warau Arsnotoria Sun! animation director) and Yuki Ikeda (Shadows House 2nd Season chief animation director) are designing the characters. Kujira Yumemi (Leadale no Daichi nite) is composing the music.

Honobonoru500 began penning the story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in August 2018. TO Books acquired the novel and began publishing under the TO Bunko imprint in November 2019, with illustrations by Nama. The ninth volume was released on June 10.

Tou Fukino began serializing a manga adaptation in February 2020 on the Comic Corona magazine. TO Books shipped the fifth volume on June 15.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English in November 2021. The fourth light novel volume went on sale on September 5, while the fourth manga volume was released on November 14.

Pv looks pretty good, staff have some experience as weĺl. The story is good, and it's not cookie cutter "black haired hero-sama vs demon lord but this time, he has no legs!". Character designs are cute, slime-san pet is always a win, big cat pet is always a win. I've read the 4 LN volumes that are out right now, it's a fun chill time. Kinda like Bookworm X campfire cooking. (They do do a lot of cooking in this one)
