'Kinnikuman: Kanpeki Chоujin Shiso-hen' Unveils Main Staff, 2024 Premiere
The official website of the new Kinnikuman television anime announced the main staff and a teaser visual (pictured) on Thursday. The anime adapting the Kanpeki Chоujin Shiso-hen (Perfect Origin Arc) is scheduled to premiere in 2024.

Yudetamago serialized the action comedy manga in Weekly Shounen Jump from 1979 to 1987. The manga returned to the ShuuPlay News web magazine in 2011. Shueisha shipped the 82nd volume on June 2. The 83rd volume is scheduled to be released on Friday.
Weekly Playboy serialized two sequel manga from 1997 to 2011. Shueisha released the second manga's 28th and final volume in December 2011.
Toei Animation produced the original 137-episode television anime that aired from April 1983 to October 1986. The franchise has inspired multiple sequels, movies, and special releases over the years.
4Kids Entertainment licensed the Kinnikuman II Sei anime series and aired it on Fox's Fox Box programming block in the United States. Discotek Media licensed the series on October 25.

Oh, I see now. The manga is still on-going (apparently it came back after decades of dormancy?), so it's just adapting the newer chapters/arcs from where Toei had left off. Interesting that it's no longer Toei, though, but hopefully that just means the quality is up to par.

So my favorite studio Production I.G. is going to be doing the Musculeman remake. I've heard about Muscleman back in the day, but I don't remember watching a single episode. I know Production I.G. has a lot on their plate right now, but I hope they didn't forget about finishing the rest of the LOGH remake.

What a weird move, to make a sequel adaptation after decades for a now super-outdated anime.
I was expecting a reboot, it would definitely bring many new fans for the franchise. At least the KV looks pretty cool and the studio/staff is competent, I guess.
