OMG this brings back childhood memories!! I can still remember the beautiful artwork of the manga, so it's kinda sad when i read that it will be 3D CGI :(

Gon is one of my all time favorite manga, I seriously hope that CGI will turn out decent - I have my doubts on this.
I'm wondering if there will be scream or "natural" sounds made by Gon, or if it will be music in background, those are little things that could help the experience... For me there should be little scream and voices "dinosauresque" withouth too much BGM, and I hope they won't be assholes that hire a renowned VA for this task (probably the budget is very low on this).

At least one anime where I won't have to wait for any fansub :D
I'm really curious, though I only have one volume of the manga, but it's still awesome :)

Gon 3D CGI anime that will most assuredly be a 'made with English dub' production so as to accommodate worldwide release? Do not want.

I don't think GON said anything in the manga. It should be WITHOUT SPEECH. So no need for VAs.
^This

Get some ****ing sense before you post next time chinlamp.

To those who have never heard of Gon you guys should really check out the manga. It's told entirely without dialogue and the art is some of the best you will ever see.

I'm not sure a Gon anime is a good idea, but I'm looking forward to it anyway because I love Gon.

There is no dialogue in Gon. No need for an English dub or any dub for that matter.

Yeah, but for 1998 that was pretty awesome.
1998? Forgive me, then. I'm slightly more reassured that it could look decent, but I'll still be iffy on the whole idea of it being in 3D CG (especially since it's a TV anime and not a movie) until I can see some actual footage of what they're doing here. Gon was my first manga and is very special to me - I want nothing less than the best out of any Gon anime.

no thanks, (after watched the promo video)
That's not a promo video. It's a clip from a video game (apparently a 1998 video game) that featured the same character. It is in no other way related to this production.

And for the record, the manga is amazing.

Hmmm....I'll keep an open mind with this one.

Oh my most of Korean production group fails, even though it tends to get better with art or graphics; most of the time the story gets too childish. (I know this, since I grow up with them.)

Do not want.

Gon manga was awesome; so I'm gonna watch the anime regardless of its graphics.

I really don't see a big deal about it being cgi... 80% of what we see in modern anime is cgi too because it's fast and accurate (read: cheap) -- they just make efforts (usually) to make it look hand-drawn. If the tekken loop Deithwen posted is any indication, it could be worth watching.
True, but it is specified as 3D CGI. I have seen a single 3D CGI anime that didn't make my eyes bleed, and that was Advent Children. And the Tekken loop didn't look that great - it was very stiff.

This would be epic if it wasn't 3D CGI.
