'Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi' Announces Additional Cast for 2024 Premiere
The Aniplex Online Fest 2023 event revealed five additional cast, the first character promo, and first character visual (pictured) for the Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi (The Elusive Samurai) television anime on Sunday. The anime series adapting Yuusei Matsui's adventure comedy manga will premiere in 2024.Cast
Shizuku: Hinaki Yano (Wonder Egg Priority)
Kojiro: Mari Hino (Yakusoku no Neverland)
Ayako: Sayumi Suzushiro (Bocchi the Rock!)
Genba Kazama: Aoi Yuuki (Youjo Senki)
Fubuki: Kikunosuke Toya (Chainsaw Man)
Yuuta Yamazaki (Wonder Egg Priority assistant director) is helming the anime at CloverWorks. Yoriko Tomita (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru) is handling the series composition. Yasufumi Nishitani (Ni no Kuni) is designing the characters.
Asaki Yuikawa (Yuusha ga Shinda!) and Yuuichi Nakamura (Jujutsu Kaisen) are starring as Tokiyuki Houjou and Yorishige Suwa, respectively.
Matsui began drawing the manga in Weekly Shounen Jump in January 2021. Shueisha published the 12th volume on September 4.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in October 2021 and shipped the eighth volume on September 5, with the ninth volume planned for a November 7 release. The company and Shueisha's Manga Plus platform also simulpublish the manga in English.
