The 11th and final episode of Kimetsu no Yaiba: Katanakaji no Sato-hen (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc) announced a television anime adaptation of the next arc—Hashira Geiko-hen (Hashira Training Arc)—following its broadcast on Monday. The official website also revealed five teaser visuals (pictured) and an announcement promo.

Haruo Sotozaki (Tales of Zestiria the Cross) is once again returning to helm the new arc at animation studio ufotable. Akira Matsushima (Maria-sama ga Miteru) is also returning as the character designer and chief animation director. The lead cast members are reprising their roles.

The Katanakaji no Sato-hen (Swordsmith Village Arc) anime premiered on April 9 with an hour-long special. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles and also streamed an English dub.

Ahead of the television anime's premiere, a feature-length cut of episodes 10 and 11 of the Yuukaku-hen (Entertainment District Arc) and the first episode of Katanakaji no Sato-hen (Swordsmith Village Arc) screened in theaters on February 3.

The first anime season aired in 26 episodes in Spring 2019. Aniplex of America licensed both anime series and simulcast them on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu.

The Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-hen (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train) anime movie opened in Japan in October 2020. A seven-episode television edit of the movie featuring new scenes aired from October 10 to November 28 in 2021. The Yuukaku-hen (Entertainment District Arc) television anime debuted with a one-hour special on December 5.

Manga author Koyoharu Gotouge received an honorable mention at the 70th Jump Treasure Newcomer Manga Awards for their Kagarigari one-shot in 2013, which became the prototype for Kimetsu no Yaiba. The supernatural action manga began serializing in Weekly Shounen Jump in February 2016 and ended its four-year run in May 2020. Shueisha shipped the 23rd and final volume in December 2020.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in July 2017 and simulpublished it on its Shounen Jump platform. The 23rd and final volume shipped in August 2021. Shueisha's Manga Plus service also simulpublished the manga in English beginning January 2019.

Well I'll be watching this, I wonder if this will be turned into a movie or short amount of episodes due to how short this arc is.

In this arc, Tanjiro, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke train with the Hashira to become stronger and defeat Muzan Kibutsuji. The Hashira will push the young warriors to their breaking point. Their training is rigorous, but they will always be up for the challenge.

Masterpiece is coming soon
But I'm still pretty confused about what ufotable is trying to do here by announcing the hashira training arc only (cuz the hashira training arc is too short to be a full season)

TV adaptation, so given this arc's length in the manga, we might expect either a short, several episodes long series, or one long Special episode covering the whole arc.

2-3 more seasons left.. Can't wait!

Hard to believe that the next installment will be dedicated to the Hashira Training Arc unless they add some anime original scenes. I'm guessing they are saving the Infinity Castle arc for last to drum up more hype for the final arc.

Probably gonna be a movie since it's a short arc
Excited anyways🔥🔥🔥

*pretends to be shocked*

But this arc is kind of short, so chances are they may go with some unconventional episode count.

It was leaked and pretty obvious but a full season doesn't make sense for like 8 chapters (I don't remember how much they were but it was pretty small). Maybe we might get a bit into the infinity castle arc as well.
Taking into account that Ufotable goes full Naruto and devotes 2-3 episodes to one fight?

I'll be watching it.

Definitely not the final. There are roughly 70-80 chapters left to adapt overall. It's either two or three seasons more, depending on how hard they want to go on the climax fights (and knowing Ufotable, they will go very hard).

Oh, thanks for the explanation!
