Square Enix published the manga in 10 volumes under its Gangan Comics imprint between October 2008 and December 2011. After the end of the main story, HERO continued to release side stories on her website. Square Enix shipped the 15th volume in July 2021.

An original video animation released four episodes as of December 2018, with a fifth and sixth episode scheduled for a May release.

When I saw this on Saturday my jaw dropped thinking this was a sequel but even so, I will ALWAYS welcome more content from my second favorite romance series of all time

This is actually really cool. IMO, this should be the norm for anime that skipped a lot of content.

This is a surprise.

the fuck do you mean milked? the anime was rushed AF.
None of the important parts were skipped, it was the fluff slice of life chapters. Pretty weird to go back and adapt those chapters so hence my previous post since they are now just doing it because of the anime's success.
but slice of life is the essence of horimiya. there are more chapter about their daily life and the plot. it is important part of the series.

They could’ve just adapted it correctly from the start, but ok

Someone over there decided Horimiya wasn't milked enough considering its popularity and decided to change that.

Mar 25, 2023 12:37 AM by CQLLIST

the anime was very rushed, they could literally made another 2 season from unadapted chapter.

Couldn't be more happy than this. Literally crying out of joy. Best announcement of the year along with rezero s3. Can't wait and knowing it will be in July makes me more excited.
But producers should have planned better so that the s1 hasn't been speedrolled. And 24 ep would have perfect for the complete adaptation nevertheless glad it's happening

What the hell?! One of my main complaints as an anime only was that they crammed too much content into so few episodes, I remember the show was about to end but new characters kept appearing. At the end it seemed like a lot of things happened off screen but if they wanted to get to the end there was no time to show it. How the hell do they decide now to make a second season and I guess animate what they skipped.

Ey yo, didn't expect this one... I'm excited for this one.
