Manga 'Noragami' Concludes with 27th Volume

Publisher Kodansha announced on Thursday that Adachitoka's Noragami (Noragami: Stray God) manga is ending with the 27th volume, which is scheduled to be released by the end of this year.

Adachitoka began serializing the action fantasy manga in Monthly Shounen Magazine in December 2010. Kodansha shipped the 26th volume on Thursday. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English and released the 25th volume on January 10.

Bones adapted the manga into two television anime seasons in Winter 2014 and Fall 2015. Funimation licensed both seasons and simulcast with English subtitles and dub.

Synopsis
As a relatively unknown minor deity without any worshippers, Delivery God Yato takes on odd jobs for only five yen, with the goal of amassing a fortune large enough to buy himself a shrine. But in addition to obscurity, he has another problem: his "Shinki," or weapon partner, has decided to resign, tired of being with a homeless god. Left with no weapon, Yato takes on more jobs, hoping to find a new partner soon.

While out putting up fliers for a missing cat, Yato sees said cat and chases after him, right into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Hiyori Iki, a nearby girl, rushes to push Yato out of the way and ends up hurt herself. After waking up in the hospital, she discovers the incident has knocked her soul loose from her body. Realizing his actions caused this, Yato promises to help return Hiyori to normal—for five yen of course. But in order to return her to normal, he requires a new Shinki, which he finds in the rebellious spirit Yukine.

I liked this series a lot, I hope there's going to be a third season eventually. So many series are ending these days... I mean, all of them are going to end one day or another, it just seems like lately there's been more of them ending than I'd usually see. Maybe that's just me though, or depending on the series I've been following. But that's off-topic anyway.

not really like noragami after bishamonten arc, but if the ending is well received for reason i look forward to, i might revisit the series.

As long as a S3 comes and gives us more meaningful plot like S2 was I m all in for that, MORE.
(that is to say, I dont want the plot to go back to what was on S1's)

I'd like to see S3 someday. We don't get to see Bishamon every day after all!!

BTW I like the series a lot, hope Adachi Toka starts another series with mythical characters 😊

Would love to see S3. When it comes to manga though, I stopped reading this manga years ago so I'll have to refresh memory first. Kind of lazy to re-read.

Author took a long time though. I still remember how I stopped reading because of the whack bi-monthly schedule.

Though still haven't lost the hope for a third season.
