Voice Actor Nobunaga Shimazaki Announces Marriage

Voice actor Nobunaga Shimazaki announced his marriage to a woman outside of the industry on his Twitter on Sunday.

"Happy new year. Thank you for your warm consideration. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that I, Nobunaga Shimazaki, have gotten married," he wrote on Twitter. "I would like to once again express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported me. I will continue to push forward in the voice acting industry. I look forward to your continued guidance and encouragement. I hope that this year will be a good one for everyone."

Shimazaki made his voice acting debut as Herbert Nielsen in Senjou no Valkyria (Valkyria Chronicles) in 2009. He landed his first major role as Kaito Kirishima in Ano Natsu de Matteru (Waiting in the Summer) in 2012. The following year, he won Best New Actor award at the 7th Seiyuu Awards.

Shimazaki is well known for voicing Shinichi Izumi in Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu (Parasyte: The Maxim), Haruka Nanase in Free!, Yuki Souma in the new Fruits Basket anime series, Eugeo in Sword Art Online: Alicization, and Yuno in Black Clover.

OMG! My Little Shido is married now. I've watched him since his first date all the way to DAL IV. He improved in his dating skills and made all the right choices. Now he's gotten married before the DAL anime finishes. We don't know who the wife is, but one thing we do know is that he made her fall in love with him through a date. That's the My Little Shido way.

Funny that this is announced a few days after I finished my current DAL run.

@DatRandomDude In this particular situation, you fumbled not mentioning his role as Itsuka Shido from Date A Live.
