Bakken Record and Pony Canyon opened an official website for an original anime titled Turkey! on Thursday, revealing the main staff and a teaser visual (pictured).

I thought it was going to be a shitty ad for the country so immediately skipped it.
I wish there was a way to filter new anime to get rid of the new ads, music videos and Chinese stuff.

Looks like another generic cgdct with stock archetypes: genki pink, blonde ojou, homely girl, glasses nerd and blue tomboy.

I've been watching anime for almost seven years and to this day, the appeal of cute girls doing things is beyond me. Most of them aren't even anything remotely high quality, like K-ON or Bocchi.

Even better. I stayed for a night in Nakano city for the purpose of visiting Niigata for the next day. Correct me if I'm wrong, it seems that both cities are close to each other.

My first assumption from the title was that this would take place in Turkey, lol. Makes perfect sense considering the theme though!

By the way, the poster looks like it's set in west of Kobe or might be in Shikoku. And in many rural areas of Japan, pachinko parlors often run bowling alleys.

The problem is not so much with the genre itself, but with the original anime being wasted on creating shows that could be average adaptations of regular SoL manga.

Looks like yet another mid moe SOL/CGDCT show... what has happened to anime. I blame anime becoming mainstream for the decrease in quality. Here's to hoping we can get actual good anime in the future.
