'Jigokuraku' Unveils Main Cast, First Promo, Spring 2023 Premiere

The Jump Studio NEO stage for the Jigokuraku (Hell's Paradise) television anime revealed the main cast, key visual (pictured), and the first promotional video on Sunday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on TV Tokyo and affiliated stations in April 2023.

Amazon's Prime Video platform, Netflix, and Hikari TV will stream the anime in Japan. Crunchyroll will stream the anime in America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Netflix will also stream the anime in Asia-Pacific countries, except for China, Australia, and New Zealand.

Gabimaru: Chiaki Kobayashi (Tomodachi Game)
Sagiri Yamada Asaemon: Yumiri Hanamori (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen)
Touma Aza: Kensho Ono (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze)
Fushi Yamada Asaemon: Aoi Ichikawa (Sonny Boy)
Yuzuriha: Rie Takahashi (Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu)
Choubei Aza: Ryouhei Kimura (Mairimashita! Iruma-kun)
Gantetsusai Tamiya: Tetsu Inada (Boku no Hero Academia)

Kaori Makita (Kakegurui Twin) is directing the anime at MAPPA. Akira Kindaichi (Dororo script) is handling the series composition and Akitsugu Hisaki (Banana Fish main animator) is designing the characters. Yoshiaki Dewa (Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi) is composing the music.

The anime adapts Yuuji Kaku's historical fantasy manga, which he began drawing in Shounen Jump+ in January 2018 and concluded it with 128 chapters in January 2021. Shueisha published the 13th and final volume in April of the same year.

VIZ Media simulpublishes the manga in English on its Shounen Jump platform and released the 13th and final volume on March 15.

did they nerf yuzuriha's rack? she still looks good tho. i hope the art direction in the anime is as strong as the teaser pv.

Looks whatever. The art direction was the stand-out aspect of the original trailer, not only it's massively brought down here but also the shots selected for the trailer doesn't even give the opportunity for it to flourish.

It's unreal how good the manga looks, somehow looking like a blend between Tatsuki Fujimoto and Sui Ishida, maybe I should go to the other side
