'Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!' Unveils Additional Staff, First Promo

The official website of the television anime adaptation of Fumita Yanagida's Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko! (Tomo-chan Is a Girl!) manga revealed on Sunday additional staff, a key visual (pictured), the theme songs, and a promotional video. The anime, scheduled to broadcast for 13 episodes, premieres on January 5 at 12:30 a.m. on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV, followed by MBS.

J-pop singer Maharajan is performing the opening theme "Kurae! Telepathy" and the main female cast, consisting of Rie Takahashi, Rina Hidaka, and Sally Amaki are performing the ending theme "yurukuru＊love." Both songs are previewed in the promotional video below.

Hitoshi Nanba (Golden Kamuy) is directing the anime at Lay-duce, with assistant director Noriko Hashimoto (High School Fleet). Megumi Shimizu (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta...) is handling the series composition and Shiori Hiraiwa (Wonder Egg Priority 2nd key animation) is designing the characters. Masaru Yokoyama (Horimiya) is composing the music.

Yanagida began writing the romantic comedy series on the Twi4 Twitter account and was published on the Saizensen website from April 2015 to July 2019. Kodansha released the eighth and final volume in September 2019. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in February 2018 and released the eighth and final volume in September 2020.

Both of Romantic Killer and Tomo chan have Rieri as main chara, so that why you called that both anime have same story and vibes


I don't remember Romantic Killer's MC being ikemen onna or Rieri being so androgynous in her voice.

i reread the series last year and i remember like half of it being SOL filler. it was fun but i think they could easily cut it out
but the SOL part is best part about it.

I love tomboys. They’re my kind of women. I would totally go out with one. I also can’t wait for the anime next year.
