Manga 'Jijou wo Shiranai Tenkousei ga Guigui Kuru.' Gets TV Anime in 2023

Publisher Square Enix announced on Wednesday that Taku Kawamura's Jijou wo Shiranai Tenkousei ga Guigui Kuru. (My Clueless First Friend) manga is receiving a television anime adaptation. The official website also revealed the main cast, staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2023.

Konomi Kohara (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen) and Shizuka Ishigami (Mahoujin Guruguru (2017)) are starring as Akane Nishimura and Taiyou Takada, respectively.

Kawamura began serializing the comedy manga in Gangan Joker magazine in May 2018. Square Enix shipped the 12th volume on July 22, with the 13th volume scheduled to release on November 22.

Square Enix Manga & Books licensed the manga in English in July last year and will release the first 2 volumes as a 2-in-1 omnibus on March 7. Square Enix also digitally publishes the manga on the Manga UP! website.

Synopsis
Nishimura Akane is a black sheep in her class, and not a day passes without her classmates picking on her. But Takada Taiyou is new and has no clue why they would treat her that way. Will his straightforward nature become a ray of sunshine in Nishimura's gloomy days? Let their wholesome story bring you back to the carefree times of your youth! (Source: Square Enix)

This seems incredibly wholesome. Gives that Takagi and Watamote vibes. I really like the character designs. Also KoKo voicing main girl.
