'Rakudai Majo' Anime Movie Announces Main Cast

The official website for the anime movie adaptation of Satoko Narita's Rakudai Majo (The Klutzy Witch) book series revealed the main cast and key visual (pictured) on Monday. The movie, titled Rakudai Majo: Fuuka to Yami no Majo (The Klutzy Witch: Fuuka and the Dark Witch), is scheduled to premiere in theaters in Spring 2023.

Cast
Fuuka: Honoka Inoue (RPG Fudousan)
Chitose: Mutsumi Tamura (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon)
Karin: Manaka Iwami (Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana wo Kazarou)

Takayuki Hamana (Kemono no Souja Erin) is directing the movie at animation studio Production I.G. Kiyoko Yoshimura (Dororo) is handling the script and Marumi Sugita (Selection Project chief animation director) is designing the characters.

Narita began writing the book series with illustrations by Senno Enaga in October 2006 under the Poplar Pocket Bunko imprint. The 17th volume was shipped in October 2013. The books have more than 1.6 million cumulative copies in circulation.

Me too. I'm not trying to sound falsely progressive, but I'm still disappointed that G-Witch seems to be more attuning all-female content for a male audience than a more serious female representation.

They're combining "klutzy" and "witch", two of my favorite things in anime, no wonder it was already in my PTW when I saw this post and wanted to add it
