Manga 'Hunter x Hunter' Resumes Serialization

The official Twitter of Weekly Shounen Jump's editorial department announced on Tuesday that Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter x Hunter is returning from hiatus with the scheduled release of the 37th volume on November 4.

The adventure fantasy manga began serializing on Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump in March 1998. Since its release, the manga has undergone many hiatuses, with the last in 2018. Shueisha shipped the 36th volume in October 2018 (pictured). The manga has over 84 million cumulative copies in circulation.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in April 2005. The 36th volume went on sale in August 2019.

Nippon Animation produced the first television anime in Fall 1999, which ran for 62 episodes from Fall 1999 to Winter 2001. A second television anime by Madhouse aired in 148 episodes between Fall 2011 and Fall 2014.

Synopsis

Gon Freecss wants to become a Hunter so he can find his father, a man who abandoned him to pursue a life of adventure. During the Hunter Exam, Gon befriends many other potential Hunters, such as the mysterious Killua; the revenge-driven Kurapika; and Leorio, who aims to become a doctor. so I guess he made up with naoko and she'll resume drawing the manga, better not upset her again cause it'll be another 4 years of nothing

2 new volumes or 20 new chapters max then goes back to hiatus again honestly Togash should drop drawing the manga and just hire an artist so he could just focus on the story telling alone

I'm happy the series is back after so long.

More importantly, I'm just glad Togashi-sensei is well enough to pen out his passion again and hope he can continue to so for many years to come.

OMG! I'm so happy. This was the longest hiatus the manga ever had. A 4 year hiatus! And the longest hiatus is finally over. I knew it was coming back soon, and I'm glad it's official now. Looking forward to the next 10 chapters. This is the best news of the year for me.

The author and his wife are truly unique. Both are great authors, but in the end one can't finish his magnus opus for decades and the other just lost the motivation to write because she can't do something as influential as her own magnum opus.

I really dont know but togashi doesnt have assistans who can help him with the drawing aspect and he can focus in the overall story so doesnt put too much pressute in his health with everything??. I mean given how rather simple its the style of drawing of the manga i dont see much problem to rely in others to take charge of that, i really like hunte x hunter i hope its get an deserved final.

Really? After chapter 391 Togashi WILL WRITE NEW CHAPTERS? It is hard to believe. Many people want NORMAL ending of this manga. We already know about Berserk, Itazura na Kiss, Hi no Tori.
