Light Novel 'Jidou Hanbaiki ni Umarekawatta Ore wa Meikyuu wo Samayou' Gets Anime

Production company VAP announced an anime adaptation of Hiru Kuma's Jidou Hanbaiki ni Umarekawatta Ore wa Meikyuu wo Samayou (Reborn as a Vending Machine, Now I Wander the Dungeon) light novel on Saturday.

Hiru Kuma began writing the comedy fantasy series on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in March 2016. Kadokawa began publishing the light novel with illustrations by Itsuwa Katou under its Sneaker Bunko imprint in August of that year. The third volume shipped in February 2017.

Kunieda began drawing a manga adaptation in Dengeki Daioh last August. Kadokawa published the first volume on March 25.

Yen Press licensed both light novels and manga in English. The third and final volume of the light novel was released in December 2018.

Synopsis
A vending machine fanatic meets his demise when he is, quite ironically, crushed by a vending machine. To his dismay, he finds himself reincarnated as a vending machine in another world. Having reemerged within a forest inhabited by frogmen and other monsters—and supplied with only two products—Boxxo the Vending Machine requires coins to keep itself stocked, powered, and upgraded with new skills.

Luckily, the automat is rescued by a young woman who quickly realizes that it is sentient, and she carries it to a human settlement. Thereafter, the strange piece of machinery gradually makes an impact in the world around it, gaining numerous allies along the way despite being utterly incapable of speech or movement and communicating only by playing out pre-recorded vending machine phrases. It's litterally a comedy, it's meant to be a stupid premise.
I've read what little manga there is of this, presumably 1 volume, and it's fine, really.
Had a good laugh and didn't feel like i wasted my time at all.
I'll go read the light novel now, and we'll see where this goes...
