Tachikawa means an instant watch. I hope he is able to bring maybe someone like Hayashi for the jazz.

The manga is pretty good, and being able to hear the jazz music should only elevate it. Hopefully the film gets even more people to read the manga.

in other thread, people keep screaming about lack of originality in anime, but when actually unique anime like this announced, those very same people seems didn't care.

Because they usually action-junkies and Blue Giant is about saxophonist.
and the irony is lost on them when they think somehow action junkies are more original. meanwhile here my boy saxing the moon.

They planning to adapt 10 volumes in a single movie? Guess not, maybe a duology or trilogy.

Great to know the adaptation is in good hand. I feel this could even surpass the manga if the production value aspect is solid.

Is "NUMBER 8" a live action work?
Nah Number 8 is a person, duo, or a group in charge of the script. They worked with Shinichi Ishizuka on both manga sequels.

Yuzuru Tachikawa for Blue Giant now the chances of great adaptation is pretty high.
