Manga 'Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi' Gets TV Anime

Square Enix announced a television anime adaptation of Miyuki Tonogaya's Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi (The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague) manga on Tuesday. The publisher also opened an official website, revealing the main cast and staff. More information will be revealed on August 3.

Yui Ishikawa (Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou Desu) and Chiaki Kobayashi (SK∞) are starring as Fuyutsuki and Himuro, respectively.

Mankyuu (30-sai no Hoken Taiiku, Cinderella Girls Gekijou) is helming the series at animation studios Zero-G and Liber.

Tonogaya began publishing the romantic comedy manga on her Twitter account in August 2018. Square Enix picked up the manga for publication in July 2019. The sixth volume is scheduled to ship on June 22. Comikey licensed the manga in English last November and is publishing it digitally on their website.

Synopsis
Himuro is an office worker who belongs to a race of supernatural beings with strange powers. Whenever he is deep in concentration, he subconsciously plunges his poor coworkers into a close rendition of the Arctic. Even so, contrary to his icy powers, Himuro is a warm and kind person. He likes flowers and cats, but alas, he cannot get too close to either.

Himuro has a soft spot for his colleague Fuyutsuki, a calm woman who has a knack for providing simple solutions to his unconventional problems. Whenever Fuyutsuki does something for him, a snowstorm of emotions builds inside Himuro's heart, and he fails to notice the raging snowstorm he causes on the office floor.

Thanks to his snowy tantrums, Himuro's feelings are apparent to everyone but Fuyutsuki. However, fueled by immense adoration and desire, Himuro is prepared to do whatever it takes to capture her heart. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Is this similar to "my senpai is annoying" or "Wotakoi" where they dont focus too much on the main couple? if it is then this is a no-go for me.

This sounds adorable, so I can't wait for this to come out. I really like the art style as well, it's very soft, and really pretty with nice colors. Can't wait!

Reversing tropes is as easy as playing them straight, but can look slightly original to an onlooker. So, just laziness in place of thinking up original dynamics.

ANOTHER ROMCOM ADAPTATION OF WHAT IM ALREADY READING HELL YEAHHH I WON !!!! the story itself is honestly .. nothing Great but its fun, im looking forward to this !! also nice that its an all adult cast even if they act like teenagers lol

Finally a romantic comedy that doesn't look like utter garbage + the male lead is actually handsome in this one and not a ugly loser!!!!

Also the fact that it's supernatural is a big bonus + sounds really wholesome and super cute from the synopsis, definitely going into my PTW list!!!!! :D
