It's baffling to me how this thread is filled with people crying over a teaser trailer lol

Not everything is going to get Ufotable/Mappa/Toei level of sakuga guys....This could have looked way worse too or even be filled with bad CG, just chill lol xD

The thing is, this series deserves way more than mediocre at best animation. Could it have looked worse? Yeah, but that doesn’t mean it looks good either.
I understand wanting to have the best animation there is for series we love, but honestly, as long as it's decent I'll live

What matters to me is if they adapt it properly, because I'm mostly in it for the story and characterization

Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer! You won't know until you open the lid.

Oh no, the trailer is just a bunch of still image with little animation in there. My hype to this anime are low right now, My only hope to this anime at least have 24 episode or even more looks from First PV.

Hope I not signing for Complete Trainwrecks.

Well, no need to repeat what everyone is saying, this doesn't look very good. But I'm still watching, no matter how badly it turns out.

I would like to make a positive note on the casting, Naomi Oozora really sounds great, and I would bear the static style if the seiyuu give this some life.

So sad to see one of my favorite stories of all time, from an author that I have endless respect for, get treated like this. This should be cancelled.

Lol, there was no animation in that trailer. Now just let it be rushed for it to be a complete trainwreck.

Oh no, the animation quality in the trailer looks bad, I feel bad for the author now that he finally got an adaptation

I also feel bad for him, but this is his second anime adaptation, first was Planet With, which was nice (would benefit from a 2 cours format instead of the 1 it got, but still fine).

Can't wait for the people here to look like clowns when the anime comes out and turns out good.

Idk how you can bullshit so much based on a 30 second PV

Easy, this took a lot of time to get out, they usually do PVs (and usually more than one) many months earlier, to generate hype and advertise properly. And look, first one 2 months before airing date, less than 1 cour away...and it looks like a plain slideshow.

Anyone can see the negative signs. Even if this does not become a Marchen Madchen-type disaster, this is not going to be a Kyoani/Ufotable tier quality work, for sure. And it kinda deserved.

Lol I don't get it why folks here at mal are so impatient, like now predicting a bad adaptation, score below 7, golem kicks bla bla bla. It was just a 15 sec pv damn it and tbh it looked decent enough just wait for a complete 2 min pv atleast if not anime to make assumptions.

Mate, it's set to start airing two months from now, meaning the episode this is from is mostly done, and they chose to show slideshow scenes with factual adaptation errors in a promotional video (that's what PV means, just in case).

In other words, unless they invented a daring new communication strategy where you incite interest in your audience by showcasing the worst aspects of your product, this is an actual indication of what it'll look like in general.

saw this tweet and shared it here since again staff is what matters more and not studio name

tweet mentions ID: INVADED and Bisco in reference to studio NAZ as if those productions weren't Ei Aoki and Atsushi Ikariya just throwing a slumber party at a different studio. Strong proof here that the studio name rarely matters, staff is what's important and this has none lol https://twitter.com/PurpleGeth/status/1527844092012544002

Some studios should just not be allowed to make anime, NAZ being one of them. I feel bad for the author.

Mizukami deserves better than this man. I somehow missed the anime announcement earlier this year even though this is one of my favorite manga. So I was shocked and super excited when I saw this on Twitter. Then I actually watched it and my disappointment is immeasurable.

no offense to the animators behind these stuff but rushed-looking "sakuga" like this is partially why i have generally lost interest in seasonals

ehh I need to actually finish reading the creator's other work Spirit Circle anyway

yep im gonna still watch this anime because its from the same author of Spirit Circle and i enjoyed that manga a lot

May 21, 2022 12:12 PM by deg

A manga that I didn't enjoy what I read getting a bad adaptation? Guess I will pass.

ok, I saw it 4 more times to check it out but apparently they messed up real bad, why show us a the 2 eyed golem first and why is Sami wearing pants?
here's how the manga looks in comparison

Unacceptable. Watch them change the part with Hangetsu taunting Samidare by flipping her skirt next.
