The official website of the Ultraman anime adaptation announced on Monday that a final season is in production. The anime is scheduled to release on Netflix in 2023.

The first two seasons, produced by Production I.G and Sola Digital Arts, began streaming on Netflix with subtitles and dub in multiple languages. The first season premiered in April 2019 with 13 episodes, while the second season premiered on April 14 with six episodes.

The anime series adapts Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi's action manga, which began serialization in Monthly Hero's magazine in November 2011. Hero's Inc. will ship the 18th volume on April 30.

Man, the manga is still going. Hopefully the anime-only ending is solid.

Ah yes, Ultraman. The anime that absolutely nobody asked for but we still got because of Japan's obsession with nostalgia. Fucking sad.
Not just Japan, look at Spider-Man : No Way Home, it's bad but people like it because there are the previous Spider-men.

Except NWH is better than most anime from last year.

How they cater to the Japanese audience right? /s

Anyway, the final season is here, kinda a short way to end it cause I assume they aren't halfway to the manga. But I guess what it is what it is
Nah, this story is different from the manga apparently

Manga is still ongoing. So this is probably some anime original conclusion

You aren't even the primary target audience of any anime, Westerner.

Westerner and proud of it.

Because the west is famous for never attempting to rekindle an audience's interest in older franchises and brands, apparently? It's not as though we're waiting on a sixth Jurassic Park, a second Top Gun, a fifth Indiana Jones (allegedly) and a remake of the Exorcist. And that's all from the first page of IMDb without looking at what else is in the pipeline.

And while we're on the subject, thinking "I am not interested in this series therefore nobody asked for it" is just miserably narcissistic.
