Synopsis
In a thoughtless blunder, God accidentally strikes down Touya Mochizuki with a stray bolt of lightning! As an apology, God offers him one wish and the chance to live again in a magical fantasy world. Touya happily accepts the offer and, for his one wish, asks only to keep his smartphone with him as he begins his journey into this mysterious world.
Starting over in this new world, Touya finds it is filled with magic—which he has an affinity for—and cute girls vying for his attention. These girls—the twins Linze and Elze Silhoueska, Yumina Urnea Belfast, Leen, and Yae Kokonoe—provide Touya with no end of romantic frustrations, but also companionship as he discovers the secrets of this new world. Why???! Does it sell well? It isn’t high rated!!
Don’t get me wrong, I won’t hate on anyone for liking the show, but you have to recognize it’s bad, right? It’s not a parody at all, and it’s pretty obvious the plot, characters and fight scenes/animation are all just terrible. Not to mention the copious amount of fanservice created to attempt to replace said traits, including some of a 12 year old.
I don’t understand, so I’m just gonna go sit in the corner. I’m done with the Internet for a while.

I have only read up to vol15, yes the ones following up where a great jump in quality and feels (with all those plot twists about his identity and etc), but when most of the harem is formed around vol14-15 it was still a nice read, better than the first starting volumes.
I have read all 41 books. I just can't get enough of it. It happen often the anime ends right when it gets good.
I feel you, it is not like I stopped on vol15 cuz I was bored, but having read so much a break was needed, but after the early volumes, the whole harem is well setup and it comes to a point where you just feel it would be fine if you just read about the MC getting along with all the girls and having those light romcom moments, and that didnt stop being fun on vol15, definitly eager to go back one day and read at least 25 volumes xD
I didn't realize this got so much hate, wow.
Anyway, just waiting for another Index season...
Indeed, if this trash can get a S2, then we can get New Testament, even after JC Staff butchered S3, they also butchered DAL S3, so all signs point that if we get a Index S4 aka New Testament S1, changes are it would get an improvement in overall animation (deserves at least that much).
Moral point of the story is that if this trash can get sequels, almost anything can, at least Spice and Wolf got some more stuff coming too.

Just stop following the seasonals (aside from retro stuff, like the new Dai no Daibouken and upcoming Hoshi no Samidare) and try to watch some older stuff (pre-2010's era).
Back then, even the early isekais (Escaflowne, Rayearth, 12 Kingdoms, Fushigi Yuugi, Digimon 1, Dunbine) were very creative and unique.

Perhaps the former, at least it cuts down on the possible number of future awful isekai by one.

I'm not gonna watch it. I didn't even like the first season. I just know this is going to piss off the kind of person that I want to be pissed off, so this announcement is great.

I absolutely loved this show. Looks like most people hated it? But it was one of favorites! I have actually been checking in on news about the potential release of a 2nd season for a long time now - so this has me so hyped! The LN series is really good as well.
