Manga 'Lv1 Maou to One Room Yuusha' Gets TV Anime

Publisher Kadokawa announced on Tuesday a television anime adaptation of toufu's Lv1 Maou to One Room Yuusha (Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero) manga and revealed the main cast.

Naomi Oozora (Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!, Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!) and Yuuichi Nakamura (Jujutsu Kaisen (TV), JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze) are starring as the Demon Lord and Max, respectively.

toufu began serializing the comedy fantasy manga in the Comic Fuz website in March 2019. Kadokawa will ship the sixth volume on April 1. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English on August 17 and released the third volume on January 11, with the fourth volume scheduled to ship on April 12.

Synopsis
Ten years ago, the hero Max defeated the Demon Lord. In order to regain his power, the Demon Lord went into a deep slumber...but when he awakens, his body is only a chibi version of its fearsome form. Now curious to see what his enemy is up to, the Demon Lord visits Max, only to discover the mighty hero living in a dirty one-room apartment. The Demon Lord decides to move in with Max and help his old enemy become a formidable opponent once more! (Source: Seven Seas Entertainment)

Female, obvious.

Says right there in the summary that the Demon Lord is male. They picked a female seiyuu because the character's gonna be tiny for the majority (or entirety) of the show.

Looks interesting. It kind of reminds me of Gintama of all things. The "Hero" is the closest thing I've seen to Sakata Gintoki in a long time (he's even going to be voiced by the same VA), just thrown into a romcom setting with him fully embracing his "Madao" side. I hope the adaptation is at least decent but I guess only time will tell.
