The official website of the Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou Desu (The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent) television anime announced a second season on Thursday. The website also revealed the main staff and a commemorative visual (pictured above).

Shouta Ibata (Domestic na Kanojo) is returning to direct the second season at Diomedéa. Novelist Wataru Watari (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.) is once again handling the series composition.

The first season aired in 12 episodes in Spring 2021. Funimation simulcast the anime with subtitles and subsequently streamed an English dub.

The anime series adapts Yuka Tachibana's slice of life fantasy light novel, which she began penning on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in April 2016. Kadokawa began releasing the series with illustrations by Yasuyuki Syuri in February 2017 and published the eighth volume on Thursday. Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou Desu has a cumulative 2.4 million copies of its volumes in print.

Azuki Fuji began drawing a manga adaptation on the ComicWalker web manga portal in July 2017. Kadokawa shipped the seventh volume on December 3 last year.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English in April 2020 and published the sixth volume digitally on February 24, with a print release scheduled for March 22. The fifth manga volume shipped on March 1.

Synopsis
Since ancient times, the citizens of Salutania have lived within a shroud of miasma, a force that brings forth monsters creating havoc around the world. When the kingdom's Order of Knights becomes incapable of containing the monsters, the Grand Magus summons a holy maiden—the legendary "Saint"—to obliterate the horrid creatures and restore peace.

One evening, as Sei Takanashi returns home from a long day at work, a magical force pulls her into a foreign world. Upon her arrival to the kingdom of Salutania, she overhears that the Grand Magus inadvertently summoned two Saints—Sei and a brown-haired girl. Needing only one holy maiden, the prince declares the other girl as the Saint, leaving Sei to her own devices.

Sei sets her sights on the Medicinal Flora Research Institute, an establishment known for its studies regarding herbs and potions. While indulging in her latest passion, Sei has a fateful encounter with the commander of the Third Order of Knights. But little does she know, her aptitude as a Saint will continue to exert its influence over her new life. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Guess they're gonna replace Sakurai here too.
If it was true they would have replaced him long ago they could have replaced someone else before releasing new season even after they were done with recording voice acting that's my opinion

I've read it in the light novel version, so I don't plan to watch the anime, but I'm not sure if Sakurai will continue as a voice actor

Can't understand the hate on this. It wasn't trash. Just not to everyone's taste. It was pleasant and the animation was good. I'm happy there's a season 2.

Given the cliffhanger, the probably of a Season 2 is there, but the chances of it getting is quite low...

...until this happened. Not sure why this would need one, but for fans, here you go.

It was pretty boring enough ngl

Oooh.. didn't know seijou 1st season was successful enough for it to get a 2nd season tbh...
Oh well, I'm happy with more of it anyway XD

Oh, this existed. Well, its own evident irrelevancy is a stark warning to not bother.

Ngl, this was generic isekai with OP MC. It's always the boring stuff that gets more seasons.
I can see how one would find this to be boring, but I don't think generic is the right word for this either since at least 95% of isekai series involves characters that have OP offensive capabilities, whereas this MC is simply just a very powerful healer/botanist lol - Which is something that I've never seen in any of the many isekai that I've seen
She's OP in one way or another, aka, a power fantasy so it's all the same to me. I find it more interesting to watch characters struggle in their new unknown environment than miraculously be able to do stuff.

Not all stories require a continuation, but this is one of these cases where a second season is definitely benefcial. Looking forward to it.

I wasn't a huge fan of this when it aired last year, but I did enjoy watching it, so I'll definitely check out the second season

I thought it would be a one time only anime since it had a proper ending with no serious cliffhanger.

Can't say I'm excited for this cuz I even watched the 1st season without knowing it would have a high focus on romance but I still enjoyed it. Anyway I'm still curious about what's gonna happen in the second season so looking forward to it.

A nice surprise, was my favourite from spring 21

Surprising. I didn't think it was successful enough for a second season.
