'Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!' Announces Supporting Cast

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Daisuke Aizawa's Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! (The Eminence in Shadow) light novel revealed seven additional cast members. The anime series is scheduled for a 2022 premiere.

Alpha: Asami Seto (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari)
Beta: Inori Minase (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka)
Gamma: Suzuko Mimori (Jouran: The Princess of Snow and Blood)
Delta: Ai Fairouz (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean)
Epsilon: Hisako Kanemoto (Choujin Koukousei-tachi wa Isekai demo Yoyuu de Ikinuku you desu!)
Zeta: Ayaka Asai (Shinmai Maou no Testament)
Eta: Reina Kondou (Sabikui Bisco)

Kazuya Nakanishi (Comic Girls assistant director) is helming the comedy fantasy series at animation studio Nexus. Kanichi Katou (Mashiro no Oto) is handling the series composition and Makoto Iino (Tatoeba Last Dungeon Mae no Mura no Shounen ga Joban no Machi de Kurasu Youna Monogatari) is designing the characters.

Aizawa launched the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in May 2018. Kadokawa began printing the title under its Enterbrain label in November that year, featuring illustrations by Touzai. The fourth volume shipped on February 26 last year.

Anri Sakano (Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou desu yo? Z) began a manga adaptation in Monthly Comp Ace in December 2018. The manga's seventh volume will be released by Kadokawa on March 26. The magazine also began serializing a spin-off by Seta U in July 2019, which has its third volume scheduled for March 26.

Yen Press licensed the light novel and manga adaptation in English in May 2019 and this January and published the third novel volume on April 27, with the fourth volume scheduled to release on May 27. The manga's second volume shipped on December 7, with its third volume scheduled to release on March 22.

First time hearing this show, and I'm hoping that the anime is as good as the LN/manga after seeing all the praises that this got.

The source material seems decent from the ratings, the voice actors seem fine as well and all that, but uhhh... Is nO oNe GoNnA TaLk AbOuT ThE ChArAcTeRs' NaMeS?!
