'Black★★Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall' Reveals Additional Cast, First Promo

The official website of the Black★★Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall television anime revealed on Friday three additional cast, ending theme artist, and first promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere on April 3 at 11:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX followed by Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, BS11, and Animax. It will also stream exclusively on Disney+.

Cast
Colonel: Takuya Kirimoto (Psycho-Pass 3)
Monica: Ayaka Asai (Mairimashita! Iruma-kun)
Black Trike: Misaki Kuno (Nanatsu no Taizai)

Singer Kanako Takatsuki (100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru) will perform the ending theme "Before the Nightmare," which is previewed in the promotional video below.

Tenshou (Motoki Tanaka) (Grisaia no Kajitsu) is directing the action drama anime at Bibury Animation Studios and Bibury Animation CG. Makoto Fukami (Mahou Shoujo Tokushusen Asuka) is handling the series composition and script, with the assistance of Ryou Yoshigami (Psycho-Pass 3 script). Masayuki Nonaka (Rewrite) and You Nakagawa (Azur Lane animation director) are serving as character designers and chief animation directors.

The story reminds of the PSP game. Except they're fighting robots and not aliens.

Hoping it'll be good. The last tv series was meh.

synopsis from ANN

It is the year 2062, two decades after the failure of a massive workforce automation project. However, Artemis, the artificial intelligence at the core of that project, had decided to attack humanity, and the resulting war laid waste to Earth.

A lone girl, Empress, wakes up in an underground laboratory at a base. She is one of three surviving guardians of humanity. However, she has no memories of what came before. All she knows is what a colonel of the peace-building force tells her.

Artemis is constructing an orbital elevator to link the Moon and Earth, and Empress is ordered to destroy the orbital elevator before its completion. If the elevator is completed, the hordes of giant mechanized forces being mass-produced on the Moon will descend upon Earth.

However, standing in the way of Empresss are Dead Master and Strength (even though they are supposed allies of Empress), as well as the unmanned forces that are pawns of Artemis, Smiley of the "Educational Institution" cult, and more.

Empress makes her advance towards the orbital elevator with the colonel and others. What awaits them there ...
