'Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan' Gets 2nd Season

The wraparound band on the ninth volume of Daisuke Hiyama's Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan (Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time) manga announced a second anime season on Thursday.

Hiyama began the ecchi fantasy manga in Monthly Action magazine in August 2017. Futabasha published the eighth compiled volume on May 12.

The first anime season produced by animation studio Wolfsbane aired in 12 episodes last Summer. Crunchyroll and HiDIVE simulcast the anime with subtitles, with the latter subsequently streaming an English dub. Sentai Filmworks released the anime on home video on October 12.

Synopsis
After gaining the title of the strongest warrior in the world, Peter Grill has finally proven his worth and is ready to take the hand of his beloved senior, the beautiful and innocent Luvelia Sanctos. Peter expects to have a healthy relationship with her, despite some objections from her father.

Unfortunately, this dream quickly breaks apart as news of his grand victory spreads among the womenfolk of other races—ogres, orcs, elves, and others—some of them even vying for his seed to produce offspring blessed with his might. To avoid betraying the trust of his cherished Luvelia and causing a scandal, Peter strives to avoid other women's salacious advances. However, accomplishing such a feat with so many alluring women on his trail is easier said than done. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Watched the anime, read the manga and enjoyed both. Glad a second season has been green lit. Didn't see that one coming. Assuming 12 short episodes there is enough manga chapters to make a decent second season. Look forward to it and hope the wait isn't too long.

People shouldn't worry about the MAL scores too much. If you like ecchi give this one a go!

Nowadays every anime that focuses too much on ecchi gets downrated, even if people like it and even if it sells well. It's lame. Especially when isekai animes usually get around 7 despite that they're all copy paste even without ecchi. I blame it all on globalization, mob mentality and brainwashing.

You're mistaken, the score is mostly because of people who hate anything ecchi, so they add it to their list just to give a 1 score. It's a never ending cycle of hatred towards something they don't even like.

The 5.48 score just shows that plenty of people on MAL get off on wasting their time on things they know they won't enjoy. Very simple to look at the tags or read a summery and know it won't be for you.

All these salty people about a good ecchi getting a second season. Go take your toxic crap somewhere else, we rarely get any ecchi anymore. I'm really happy though, the show's funny and the characters are hot.

F yes!!! Lmao I Loved this show, definitely for Ecchi purposes but it was so funny to see a guy who was getting laid left and right but wasn't actually wanting it(or totally wanting it). And a guy who was ACTUALLY getting laid in an Anime?!?! Holy crap, I can count the number of times that happens on one hand(that I've seen). Even Fruit of Grisaia which was supposed to be this BIG Ecchi Anime with a badass(he is badass) protagonist that bangs EVERYBODY, and then I finally watch it and the only thing that happens is the girls eat damn F'n FRUIT, are you kidding me?!?

I thought it was going to be on par with Peter Grill or more so from the way people made it sound and I got a Produce section. Maybe they were talking about the Visual Novels or something. I really wish that would have come out now when more 'I can't believe it's not Hentai' shows are coming out, and I really wish more of those would come out. Adults like Anime, make us some damn ADULT Anime! But anyway super pumped about this, and about Japans willingness to do things that most of the rest of the world wouldn't even think about doing even in damn animation.

Why? It was good enough maybe for 1-3 episode OVA, especially since they would be able to avoid excessive censoring. First season was already pointless, why make another? It actually sold or is it some kind of tax evasion scheme?
