Too Kyo Games, Akatsuki Reveal 'Tribe Nine' TV Anime for Winter 2022

Too Kyo Games and Akatsuki revealed during the "Extreme Progress Report #00" streaming event on Thursday a new multi-media project which includes a television anime. The event also revealed the cast, staff members, first key visual (pictured), and promotional video for the anime. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2022. Funimation also announced that they will be streaming the series.

Synopsis
Haru Shirogane is a weak-minded person who is constantly bullied while Taiga has traveled from across the sea in hopes of becoming the strongest man in the world. One night, the two meet up with Shun Kamiya, the strongest XB (Extreme Baseball) player, and leader of the Minato Tribe. When they meet, each of the Tribes scattered throughout Neo-Tokyo are about to face a major threat.

On the orders of the King of Neo-Tokyo, "Houtenshin", the Chiyoda Try, led by the mysterious Ojiro Otori, has started to take control of all the tribes in the country. Their evil clutches are about to reach the Minato Tribe...

The multi-media will also include a 3D RPG smartphone game and a webtoon.

Ah yes, it's Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka back at it again, though Akudama Drive was a relative departure of his work, and this is really inspired from Danganronpa.

Gonna cross my fingers for this one.

I was saying to myself how this reminded me of Akudama Drive visually, but as I watched the PV I got a lot of Danganronpa vibes....Color me stupid for not knowing that both of those series were made by the same person lol

But regardless, I'm looking forward to this seeing as I greatly enjoyed both of the two serious I mentioned

Parallel-game-and-anime projects haven't been too good in the past, but I'll give Kodaka and Komatsuzaki the benefit of the doubt, I'll go for it.

Also damn I know it's the same character designer but Haru looks almost exactly like Chihiro to me lol

The anime industry has outsped itself: the game isn't even out yet and we're already getting an anime adaptation of it.
Hope this one will not be as bad as Danganronpa anime was to the point of making me not want to check out the game.
