Publishing company Micro Magazine announced a television anime adaptation of Tsukiya's Kumichou Musume to Sewagakari (The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting) manga on Wednesday.

Synopsis
WHO'S YOUR NANNY?

Kirishima Tooru is the right-hand man of the Sakuragi crime family. For him, the job is a perfect excuse to let his violent instincts run wild, earning him the nickname "The Demon of Sakuragi." It seems like nothing will stand in the way of his vicious nature. But then one day, he receives an assignment like never before from the boss—babysitting his daughter!

This is the heartwarming (or is it bloodcurdling?) story of a little girl and her yakuza caretaker! (Source: Kaiten Books, edited)

Tsukiya originally posted the slice of life comedy manga on their Twitter account under the title Gokudou Musume to Sewagakari (The Mob Boss's Daughter and Her Caretaker) beginning October 2017. Comic Ride Pixiv began serializing the manga in June 2018 before it switched to Comic ELMO last May. Micro Magazine will release the sixth volume on Friday (pictured). Kumichou Musume to Sewagakari has a cumulative 500,000 copies of its volumes in print.

Kaiten Books licensed the manga in English last December and published the second volume digitally on July 23. The first volume will ship physically on July 20.

The premise sounds weird.
MC's boss chose literally the worst possible person for this job.

I didn't really care for that other "wholesome" yakuza anime, but this one actually looks adorable and funny.

Anyone use Tachiyomi? I can't find a source that has the updated manga. :(

I get the impression this, or at least the decision for it to get an anime, is aping Househusband.

I don't care for sloppy seconds, pass.

It looks like the Japanese have discovered the American family cinema of the 80s and 90s

Lmao, pretty much what came to mind.

Yeah, I still remember the Nostalgic Critic burning over them in the review of the movie with the Hulk Hogan, lol.

More "dude with no experience in babysitting has to babysit a little girl" anime are always welcome!!

i always loved those movies from the 80's that did this but i can't for the life of me remember any of them

Not alone? How about Kindergarten Cop and that Hulk Hogan movie that got a remake with Vin Diesel? Also, there was one movie with the bodybuilding twins.

Yep, i'm in already! It's like a mix of Hinamatsuri, Gokushufudou, and Gakuen Babysitters all in one package. Saw some panels of it and it surely is adorable.

I see synopsis, reminds me of Usagi Drop, at beginning story is quite dark but in main story will be heartwarming & family friendly.

Can't wait for it!!

Ha, this sounds like it will be fun, seems like, 'Hinamatsuri meets Gakuen Babysitter.'

Yup, absolutely down for this! I can already see the heartwarming stuff that's about to come.

Reminds me of Hinamatsuri and that was fantastic as well.
