Manga 'Dokyuu Hentai HxEros' Concludes in February

Ryouma Kitada's Dokyuu Hentai HxEros (Super HxEros) manga will conclude in Jump SQ.'s March issue on February 4, according to the February issue of the magazine shipped on Monday.

Kitada began drawing the action ecchi manga in Jump SQ. in May 2017. Shueisha published the 11th volume on November 4 last year, which bundled the first original video anime (OVA). The 12th volume, which goes on sale on March 4, will bundle a second OVA. As of last June, Dokyuu Hentai HxEros has a cumulative 1.35 million copies of its volumes in print.

A 12-episode television anime adaptation produced by animation studio Project No.9 aired in Summer 2020. Aniplex of America licensed the anime series in North America and simulcast the censored version on Funimation. The latter subsequently began streaming an English dub.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English last August and plans to publish the first volume on February 23.

Synopsis
When the mantis-like aliens known as Kiseichuu descend on Earth, they have one goal: eradicate the human race. They do so by absorbing humans' H-energy–the sexual passion that fuels so many people and keeps the species reproducing! The government has assembled an elite team of superheroes to fight the bugs, aided by technology that allows them to transfer their erotic energy into super powers.

High schooler Retto Enjo is recruited onto the team, partnering with four beautiful girls, one of whom is his childhood friend Kirara Hoshino. Though they were once close, they've grown apart in recent years, since Kirara turned distant and aloof after an encounter with the Kiseichuu in her youth. Well most of the people disliked it because of the story along with the character devlopement in the anime. I don't know about the manga though.

It was fun while it lasted for Super Hentai HxEros. The anime adaptation didn't do any justice to the manga and it ended up being mediocre. I didn't know the manga sold 1.35 million copies.
