CLAMP's 'Tokyo Babylon' Manga Gets TV Anime for 2021
Synopsis
Subaru Sumeragi is the thirteenth head of his powerful onmyouji clan. Until the time comes when he must succeed his grandmother fully, Subaru is allowed to live in Tokyo with his fraternal twin Hokuto. While Subaru is kind and shy, Hokuto has exuberance to spare, and her favorite pastime is designing bold matching outfits for the two of them to wear. Her next favorite thing to do is try to set up Subaru with their veterinarian friend Seishirou Sakurazuka who, oddly enough, is always readily available to accompany the Sumeragis throughout the city.
Subaru has to resolve a variety of spiritual conflicts in Tokyo: some are cases formally brought to him by clients, and others are matters in which he decides to involve himself. A selfless teenager, he empathizes with others to the point that their pain may as well be his own. This leaves him vulnerable in a city where nearly everyone makes decisions that only benefit themselves as individuals. Hokuto hopes that if Subaru develops feelings for Seishirou, their relationship will be the one thing that he never gives up for the sake of anyone else. However, is Seishirou the best candidate for her brother's love, or is he hiding sinister secrets? [Written by MAL Rewrite]
CLAMP serialized the fantasy shoujo manga in South and Monthly Wings magazines between 1990 and 1993. A sequel manga titled X ran in Monthly Asuka from March 1992 to March 2003.
Madhouse adapted Tokyo Babylon into a two-episode original video anime in 1992 and 1994 and produced an anime film for X in 1996. A 24-episode television anime re-adapting the sequel manga aired in Fall 2001.
Tokyopop published the manga in English from May 2004 to May 2005. Dark Horse Comics reacquired the rights to the series and published it in two omnibus volumes in 2013.

If the character of the design is a problem, do you read Tsubasa? there Seishirou's version is the same as this one.
They still use the (modern) recognizable CLAMP style rather than the awful GH's one. Also Tsubasa is absolute shitto anyway.
Man if only these designs weren’t butchered.
The tsubasa OVAs were pretty good though and it was the only time CLAMP’s designs in anime looked good.

Well, let's see about gohands worked:
K project, ok
Hand shakers, nah
W'z, oh noooo !!!
I wonder what happen if this anime was made by go hands, it means that we will see many visual effect which everyone can get epilepsy or become spongebob meme "oh my eyes" when king neptune put off his crown after got stolen by plankton.
But i don't know why hand shakers become worse, even though k project was a great anime (not best, but still worth it)
These are problem of script writer IMO. Actually W'z art was better than Hand Shakers. Everyone should stop blaming GoHands. I'm worried Project Scard story because same writer as them.

Seitokai Yakuindomo, Mardock Scramble also good GoHands anime. I agree with you in terms of their job was worse due to Hand Shakers and W'z. They're Frontier Works (Producer company) and script writer self-satisfaction original anime series.
Tokyo Babylon is manga adaptation so I still can expect animation quality. I love GoHands.
I agree that their manga adaptations turns out good so there's hope for this one. What bothers me is that all their recent ones has baby face characters... Even another one that's coming Project Scard, they are like in their 20s with baby face...
I second this statement. I used to like their character designs but now they look bad because of the baby face syndrome the characters all have now.
And the only time I liked CLAMP's designs animated was the tsubasa OVAs.

I can't trust GoHands...they stopped giving justice to animes after doing K. K is the only anime they did really nicely and then I think their director got possessed or something, like all the anime they did after K is shit.
