Voice actress Chika Anzai announced her marriage to a man outside of the entertainment industry on her Instagram on Sunday.

Anzai states that she and her husband plan to devote themselves to each other and to all their supporters. She also thanks her fans for their continued support and pledges to continue to share positivity with everyone.

Anzai joined the Avex Artist Academy at the age of 15 and later became affiliated with Avex Pictures. She made her voice acting debut in 2009 as Nagisa Mikogami in Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzoo. Her notable roles include Chisa Kotegawa from Grand Blue, Reina Kousaka from Hibike! Euphonium, and Merry from Hai to Gensou no Grimgar.

Anzai has also starred in the stage productions of Nobunaga the Fool as Kagome in 2013, a role she reprised in the anime adaptation as well, and Claire in El Sabotage in 2015.

Congratulations on the marriage of ~ShuKumi's biggest fan~ IRL!

Wishing the newly weds a beautiful journey ahead!

Some of my favourite roles from her are Reina (Hibike!) Merry (Grimgar) and Chaika. Love these roles!

That being said here is a fun fact: She gave the voices of Taichi's Girlfriend Ayu and Arata's Neighbour Yuu in Chihayafuru!

You get married! You get married! Everybody get married! Congratulation!
Somehow her voice in Grand Blue and Kuzu no Honkai also almost similar to Kanazawa imo and her marriage also happens after her xD

An unusually positive development compared to the past, when a female VA could be bullied even for a casual date with a man.

I agree. But still, to this day - public figures face the same scrutiny in Japan especially if they're popular and "young" (read: young adults - adults in their 20 something). It's absolutely ludicrous.

I remember two well-known VAs even hid their marriage for quite some time to avoid any such occurrence. So, I was delighted when it turned out last year that IMAS fandom and stuff turned out to be totally supportive, whether their VA announces marriage, or comes out as a queer person.

"We knew this day would come. We knew it all along. Why did it come so fast?"

Anzai-san ... I remember those innocent times when people ship her from Kumiko's VA ... Eh, another reminder that I have to watch the rest of Eupho.

Damn, all seiyuus getting married these days. Japanese people really seem to follow the "get married before 30" theme quite faithfully.
