'Senyoku no Sigrdrifa' Unveils Supporting Cast, First Promo

The Walküre Information Bureau livestream revealed supporting cast, theme song performers, and the first promotional video for Senyoku no Sigrdrifa (Warlords of Sigrdrifa) on Wednesday. The television anime, originally scheduled for Summer 2020, will now premiere in Fall 2020 due to the effects of COVID-19.

Rusalka Evereska: Ai Kayano (Sword Art Online: Alicization)
Lizbet Crown: Mikako Komatsu (Taboo Tattoo)
Leyli Haltija: Hitomi Ueda (Uma Musume: Pretty Derby (TV))
Misato Honjou: Yui Horie (Rail Wars!)
Nono Kazuura: Rina Hidaka (Kantai Collection: KanColle)
Komachi Mikuri: Sumire Uesaka (Musaigen no Phantom World)

J-pop singer Akari Nanawo (Happy Sugar Life) is performing the opening theme "Higher's High." Pop-rock band Spira Spica is performing the ending theme "Sayonara Namida."

Hirotaka Tokuda (Grancrest Senki episode director) is helming the original anime at A-1 Pictures, featuring character designs by Takumi Yokota (Nami yo Kiitekure). Shigeo Komori (Shinsekai yori), Hajime Hyakkoku (Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata) are composing the music.

Novelist Tappei Nagatsuki (Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) is handling the series composition and screenplay. Manga artist Takuya Fujima (Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha ViVid) is credited for the original character designs, and Takaaki Suzuki (High School Fleet original creator) is in charge of the worldview setting and setting research.

Kanari Abe (Haifuri) will begin a manga adaptation titled Senyoku no Sigrdrifa: Non-Scramble in the September issue of Comic Alive on July 27.

Looks like this and Strike Witches:Road to Berlin will have an unexpected clash but add the upcoming Luminous Witches to mix and Sigrdrifa ends up being a punching bag to the end ( this is just an expectation btw )

It looks very generic, but given the hyped VA and Nagatsuki-sensei as the writer, I can give it a try.

The planes look nice but the setting clashes with them (The setting is too modern for these Herocraft compared to say Strike Witches, I'd be more believable if the girls were riding or turned into supernatural creatures, I was expecting at most an alternate WWII setting).

So has is this linked to Senyoku no Sigrdrifa Rusalka LN? The anime seems to have an all-female cast but the LN has a male MC too. I'm so confused
